Services, not products
Astora Events provides bespoke event planning and production. We do not sell physical goods, so there is nothing to "return". Instead, this policy explains how deposits and cancellations are handled across a project.
Deposits
Most engagements begin with a booking deposit that secures your date and lets us commit to vendors and venues on your behalf. The deposit amount is set out in your proposal and is applied against your final balance.
If you need to cancel
We understand plans change. Because we commit real costs early, the amount recoverable depends on how close to the event date the cancellation happens:
- More than 30 days before the event: your deposit less any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred.
- 8 to 30 days before: deposits are generally non-refundable, as most vendor commitments are locked by this point.
- Within 7 days: the full contracted fee applies, as the work and bookings are effectively complete.
Exact figures for your project are always stated in your written agreement, which takes precedence over these general guidelines.
If we cancel
In the rare event that we are unable to deliver a confirmed engagement, we will refund all payments made for work not yet performed and help you transition to an alternative provider wherever possible.
Changes and postponements
Where an event is postponed rather than cancelled, we will do our best to transfer your deposit to a new date, subject to vendor availability and any costs already committed.
